We're just back from our 3rd holiday at Katoomba. The chalet is always spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. It's lovely to have tea, coffee, milk and biscuits when you arrive as you can have a cuppa before unpacking.
Hayle has several supermarkets and independent shops, takeaways, pubs, Philps pasty shop and Lucy Kemp jewellery. St Ives isn't far away - park at St Erth station and take the train, far easier than trying to park in St Ives.
Highly recommended, already booked for next year!

We had the most wonderful stay at katoomba. The chalet is beautifully kept and has everything you need to really make the place feel like a home away from home. Kerry was an incredible host and made us feel so welcomed. She even checked in with us when a storm was due to hit the area and informed us of a fireworks display as well as we had our dog with us and wanted to be prepared, incredibly thoughtful and kind. Would most definitely look to staying at katoomba again in the future, many thanks, Emma, James and Wanda 🐶

What a great little gem Katoomba is, tucked in a quiet part of the park within easy walking distance of the beach. Very tidy and clean would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Kerry.

Had a brilliant week at lovely KATOOMBA. We took great care of the place. You asked for any suggestions (this is not a complaint) Noticed when their was windy rain end of last week that water had come thru in corner of front door, the mat was quite wet. Also recommend 3 or 4 tiles behind taps in bathroom noticed a little bit of paint was off behind tap. A handle on the shower wall would be handy. Please believe me these are not complaints we truly enjoyed the week and loved your comfortable settees, and bed. and loved your kitchen. Please keep us on your mailing list. Thank you for biscuits coffee etc we put all the bedding towels etc into big new black as couldn't find any linen bags in any of drawers, hope that was OK. Response from Kerry (owner)- Thank you so much Mary, these are all really useful comments. We are planning to put in a bigger sink unit soon, so we will definitely tile around it. I hadn't thought of a rail either which is a great idea. Thanks for letting me know about the door too, that's happened before so I will get my husband to take a look! What a find! No more caravans for us after our fortnights stay at this beautifully looked after chalet. It has everything you could possibly need for a quiet and relaxing holiday and Kerry the owner went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. From the goodies on arrival to suggestions for trips out. Ideally placed for exploring this corner of Cornwall and so comfy and cosy it was a pleasure to return home to every day. Five stars and will recommend to anyone, thanks so much for our stay X

Katoomba was like a little home from home. It had everything we needed plus a few extras that made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. It made a great base for us as we like to go out and about every day. Katoomba is in a good postion for visiting all the usual Cornish hot spots or for just a stroll down to the beach. There are shops and resturants close by or a short car journey away. I would definitely recommend Katoomba as a place to holiday as it has everything you need.

On our arrival we were welcomed with a Lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk so we could just unwind from a long journey without rushing out for a much needed refresher immediately on arrival, also we had a pack showcasing all local amenities, attractions and businesses. There is a very Lovely welcoming feel to the accommodation, comfortable furnishings throughout, clean, fresh, tastefully decorated, a nice decking area with seating, very well equipped in all, it is warm, bright and located in a nice quiet spot on the site. After visiting here we would struggle to go back to even the nicest caravan as one big difference is the ability to walk about without the echoing and vibration of footsteps, and also not being able to hear your neighbors every footstep was very nice. The location on this site was a gentle walk to the Beautiful Hayle beachfront with 3 different entry points on site as far as we could see. Easy walking distance to a lovely pub just 5 minutes down the road, local shop 5 minutes walk also and a place on site (The Cove Cafe) for a lovely breakfast with a gorgeous view. Thank You to Kerry for allowing us to book your accommodation, it made our stay in Cornwall this year very comfortable and pleasant, we definitely will be recommending this accommodation to anyone thinking of visiting Hayle.

Our stay at katoomba was beautiful. Everything we could have asked for and everything we needed was there, and everything was very clean and comfortable. Thanks to kerry for everything it was beautiful and wonderful! We will definitely return year after year ! Very close to the beach and pub too!

We spent a week at Katoomba over the Easter holidays and had a great time, despite the changeable weather! The chalet was very welcoming, clean and had everything we needed. Kerry was easily contactable if needed and her local tips in the manual were helpful. Thank you for the treats on arrival and for a lovely week. I would definitely recommend Katoomba and would return!

Just got home from a 4 day stay at Katoomba. The chalet is comfortable, clean, warm and well presented with everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is also well placed for access to the North Cornwall coastline. I particularly liked the comfy bed (I presume the other one is the same!); the smart TV (so you can log in to your apps); hard flooring which is easy to keep clean across the main areas and the quiet location. I would only have very minor niggles which, since it would only be my personal preference, I'm not going to mention. There is nothing wrong at all. Also very good communication from the owner who obviously cares about your stay. Recommended and hope to return at a later date.

We had a lovely week at Katoomba, and the dogs certainly enjoyed it too, on the great local beaches.
Katoomba is cosy, comfortable, clean, modern and has everything you need. It is perfectly situated away from crowds but not too far away from places to visit and lovely coastal walks.
We will certainly be back !

We have just returned from an amazing week in Cornwall Katoomba was the perfect base to explore Hayle, St Ives and the surrounding area.
Katoomba is a really lovely place to stay, clean and comfortable and nice and quiet. We are a family of 4 and found it perfectly adequate. My boys were extra pleased to have such good wifi too 😀

Just returned from a week here, it was probably one of the best places we have ever been.
Everything was spot on, so clean, so cosy, so comfortable, a huge thank you to Kerry and Andy for all the useful information and quick responses to any questions.. we just wish it was not so fabulous, that way we could book again and again ... Thank you so much Mandy/Elton.

We stayed at Katoomba in May 2022. It was our first break since covid and was something we were really looking forward to and Katoomba didn't let us down.
It's a lovely small lodge with a kitchen that I would be happy to use again.. it had everything. The lodge was very clean when we first arrived which was a great start. The beds were super comfy and it was so peaceful, we slept very well. And it was lovely sitting on the patio in the morning with coffee as we woke up. Wi-Fi worked great too.
We found some of the lovely walks to Lula's Shack (which we loved) and to Bluff Cove, and couldn't resist the Philps pastys.. Yum! It's such a lovely area of Cornwall. We shall return in the future and wanted to thank you for letting us stay. 10/10 😀♥️

We had a fantastic week staying at Katoomba. The chalet is beautifully set up with everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed sitting out on the decking with a cup of tea. The beach is amazing and our dog enjoyed long walks along it each day. Goodrevy Point is worth a visit to see the seals.
We walked down into Hayle most evenings and would recommend the steak and fish and chips in the Copper House Inn. It was also lovely to walk along the George V memorial walk and see the huge variety of plants and flowers rather than along the main road.
We used the great bus service from Hayle into St Ives. Adult return was £3.90.

What can I say! Absolutely lovely holiday spent at Katoomba with my family and little girl. Just perfect! The chalet was gorgeous, it had everything we needed. It was spacious enough, comfy enough and all round amazing. We enjoyed spending the mornings on the decking with a cup of tea. Perfect distance from the beach and the bar as well as the little cove cafe. Plenty of play areas on the grounds for little ones.
Overall amazing holiday and absolutely wonderful service from Kerry the owner!

Lovely short break with our dog who loved sitting on the decking watching the world go by. Everything you could possibly need is there and Kerry is only a text away if any issues. Supermarkets ideally situated to grab provisions on way to the chalet.
We walked to the beautiful beach, went to the Bluff Inn, Lula's for daytime coffee and evening meal, St Ives etc. All lovely 🙂

Beautifully clean and well equipped chalet in a quiet part of the site. Enjoyed a very relaxing week here. Would recommend Philps pasties and Sanders fish and chip shop in Hayle. Travelled in to St Ives on the train from St Erth, much easier than trying to park in St Ives.

The most amazing get away. We stayed at Katoomba for a week and can't wait to book again. Located right in the middle of everything so was easy accessible to everything if needed but the chalet had everything we needed upon arrival. The under heating flooring is amazing especially after going for an evening walk. Would highly recommend booking here we had a toddler with us and it was amazing especially with the little decking area

We stayed in Katoomba October 9th for seven nights 2021 and found the accommodation to be extremely clean and a lovely wellcome pack . Katoomba as everything you might need on a self catering holiday . A five minute walk to the beach and two pubs the Bucket of Blood which is dog friendly and the beer is superb , the other pub is the bluff inn which overlooks Hayle beach . If you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay I would highly recommend Katoomba . The only thing I would recommend you to pack if you venture out at night is a torch because once the sun goes down it gets really dark lol.

We have just returned from Katoomba, we was so lucky to find it, when we opened the door we could not believe our luck, everything was perfect, everything was there , tea ,coffee, sugar, biscuits, even down to a packet of pasty shaped dog biscuits,
Lovely crisp white bedding, lovey fluffy white towels, all the utensils was spotless, and the position on the park was ideal.
The owner Kerry was very friendly, and welcoming, our deposite had been returned before we got home.
The only down fall its fully booked so we cant have it again in September

So pleased we found this chalet. Riviera Towans is the best site in that area. Lots of space and incredibly peaceful. Katoomba is in one of the quieter locations on the site which we liked. Chalet very clean and has all you could need. Thoughtful use of space to make it comfortable and works well. Cosy with oil filled radiator, good shower, excellent WiFi. Kerry the owner has thought of everything and the communications with her were all part of the enjoyment. Highly recommended

We stayed here with our three dogs the week before Christmas and it was lovely. A nice warm space to come back to after exploring Cornwall in the wind and rain. Kerry was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, making sure we settled in and were comfortable. I can imagine this place would be even more lovely in summer ☀️ If we decide to do the 8 hour drive again (and there’s no Covid restrictions) you may see us again 👍

Best place on the Towans by far, very clean and tidy chalet, exceptional, very warm and cosy, and more spacious than you think. Just spent the most relaxing 2 weeks holiday in Katoomba and would highly recommend the chalet. The owners are very nice and easy to get on with, very highly recommended 5*.

I can honestly say that Katoomba was the best chalet we have stayed in for cleanliness & comfort. There was a lovely welcome pack & everything was spotless. It’s dog friendly & we enjoyed many walks on beautiful Hayle beach. It’s also only 5 minutes walk to the local pub where you can enjoy a drink & a lovely meal. It’s a beautiful well equipped chalet & we can’t wait to return next year.
