What I collect

I collect only Data that is required to answer booking enquiries, make reservations and keep in touch with you about Katoomba (for example information on last minute cancellations and offers, and occasional news).

If you agree to it via the pop-up Cookies Acknowledgement button, I use Cookies to collect statistics about how you use my site eg which webpages you visited and for how long. None of the Cookies set by the Web Site jeopardise your privacy in any way and no personal data is collected.

If you contact me, I may collect your name and contact details including your postal, email address and contact telephone number.

If you make a booking with me, I will collect Data necessary to confirm the details of your booking including number, name and age of all guests under the age of 18. Following your booking, in accordance with UK law, I will hold these details for 1 year, but I will not disclose them to any third party unless directed to do so by a government agency.

Why do I collect the Data?

I request Data from you to enable me to respond to a request from you for information, or to enable me to complete a booking as requested by you 

I collect statistics about your use of my website via Cookies to enable me to refine my service offering eg by removing pages which are rarely visited and adding further detail to pages which are more frequently visited by users.

Your Data Rights

You have the right to request details of the personal Data I hold about you (please use the Enquiries facility to raise your request and I will respond with a full list of any Data I hold about you).

You have the right to withdraw your consent for me to retain your Data at any point. Upon receipt of your instruction I will delete your Data after 180 days (the 180 day retention period is to enable me to respond to any Court authorised request from government or law enforcement officials for its disclosure).

You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding my collection, retention or use of your Data with the UK Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
